Professional Overview
For more than 20 years I have worked as an Exercise Rider and Assistant Trainer at the race tracks and training centers in Southern California. I have been mentored by top trainers and expert horsemen, incorporating all I have learned into the success of horses I have owned, trained and worked with.
Hall of Fame trainers I have worked with include: Bobby Frankel, Neil Drysdale, D Wayne Lukas, Richard Mandella, Williard Proctor and trainers Darrel Vienna, Bruce Headley, Lewis Cenicola, Terry Knight, Blake Heap, Jude Feld, Michael Hart, Wayne Murty, Tom Sanford and Tommy Doyle.
My beginnings on the track were under author and accomplished horseman Monty Roberts who teaches his 'Join Up' all over the world, including to the Queen of England.

Wavecrest Thoroughbreds 2001 to 2008
Purchased, broke & trained yearling horses for myself and different partners for pinhooking. I managed the sale prepping and sale under Wavecrest Thoroughbreds. Out of the first 13 horses I bought and sold were Grade I winner Cash Included and Grade II placed and multiple stake winner Capitano.

Assistant Trainer and Exercise Rider 1978 to 1998
Worked for several different trainers as Assistant and Exercise Rider at Santa Anita, Hollywood Park and Del Mar Racetracks. Jobs included supervising training, feeding, veterinary care, deciding medical needs of horses, galloping horses, and supervising other barn employees.
Started on the racetrack in 1976 as a hotwalker, learned to groom horses and also pony horses in the morning and to the gate in the afternoon.
