There is an estimated 14 million horses
in the
United States. Only 4% are kept in professional horse barns, 2% are
on public land (free range) and the other 94% are kept on private
property.
Often times when private horse owners need to
travel out of town for graduations, weddings, funerals, and
vacations this creates a need for someone to care for their horse or
horses. Trying to find someone who is qualified is often difficult
and more often is someone less than ideal.
American Pet Sitter, LLC and Divine Horse Services, LLC is now offering National Certification as a Professional Horse Sitter. The program is designed for someone who has some experience in caring for horses. The National Certification Program covers 20 hours of study, 16 hours of internship, and 8 hours of written and practical Exams. American Pet Sitter and Divine Horse Services have invested 2 years in building the program to fill the need for the students as well as the horse owners.
